What I mean when I say I'm not a fortune teller
If you're wary of psychic services, or a reading has gone badly for you before, this is for you. Here's what I actually do, and don't do, in a session.
Fun fact: I once worked on a psychic website, and it was eye opening. That question, in some form, was the single most common thing people asked. And I understand the pull toward it. If the answer is yes, great, you got an answer. If it's no, at least you know.
But now what? A yes or no doesn't tell you how you got into that situation in the first place, or the pattern that created it. It might soothe you in the moment. But how long does that actually last?
It's far more useful to understand the broader picture of what's happening than to walk away with a quick yes or no.
If a quick yes or no is genuinely what you want, I'm not the reader for you. And that's okay.
Energy
What's alive in your field right now
Patterns
The repeats you may not see yet
Relationships
The dynamics playing out between you and the people closest to you
This is where my strength lies, not in naming an exact date or event.
I'm not built to predict everyone's future down to the day. There are moments I do get clear, specific messages about particulars, but that isn't my strongest skill. My strongest skill is reading you: your energy, your field, and the people you're involved with. What I'm not going to do is tell you the exact date you'll meet your soulmate. What I will do is help you understand what's actually happening, so you're working with the real picture instead of waiting on a date.
So you can't tell me what's going to happen?
Not as something absolute, no. I do have spreads built specifically for possible outcomes, and I can tell you what the cards are showing based on the energy right now. I can also tap into your field, or the field of someone connected to you, and share what I'm picking up in the moment. From all of that, I can often tell you where things are heading if nothing changes. But nothing is set in stone. The moment you make a different choice, that trajectory shifts too.
Then what's the point of a reading?
Clarity. Most people come to me not because they want to know the ending, but because they're stuck, unsure, or circling the same situation without knowing why. A reading gives you language for what you're already sensing, and something concrete to work with, not a script to follow.
How is this different from a psychic hotline or a fortune teller?
A fortune teller's job, at least the way it's often practiced, is to predict. Mine is to inform. I'll never tell you that you're doomed or destined. I will tell you what I'm seeing and why, so the choice about what happens next stays yours.
Why does this matter so much to you?
Because I've been on the other side of a reading that did real damage. I was told, years ago, that I was fated to an outcome I didn't want, delivered with no gentleness and no guidance on what to do with it. I carried that for a long time. I never want to hand anyone else that same weight. You can read more about that here.
Will you ever tell me something hard to hear?
Yes, when it's true and useful. But there's a difference between naming something difficult so you can work with it, and handing someone a fate they can't do anything about. I aim for the first, always.
What should I actually expect from a session with you?
A grounded conversation. I'll share what I'm sensing, we'll talk through what it might mean for your specific situation, and you'll leave with something to actually reflect on or act from, not a prophecy to sit with alone.
Ready to understand the bigger picture?
A reading built around clarity, not a coin flip.
